Daydream

Coming June 2025

Daydream is a collection shaped by imagination, memory, and my deep connection to these landscapes. Each piece features a different mountain peak - some loosely inspired by real ones you might know, others completely imagined...but they’re not about the specifics; they’re about how those places felt.

Each piece sits somewhere between reality and dream: softened, abstracted, and textured like memory. Painted in cooler, earthy tones, these works carry the quiet mood of the mountains that continues to be consistent throughout my work. Daydream is my way of painting what it feels like to be in love with a place and to carry it with you long after you’ve left.

The Artist

Alexandria is a self-taught artist from Alberta, Canada, specializing in bold, textured palette knife paintings of mountain landscapes. Her work blurs the line between real and imagined, inviting viewers into scenes that feel both immersive and emotionally alive.

Inspired by a lifelong love of nature and a background in interior design, she discovered painting in 2020 - and with it, the intuitive flow of working in impasto. Using heavy-body acrylics and a palette knife, Alexandria builds sculptural layers of paint that create rhythm, depth, and movement across each piece.

“The landscapes I paint are meant to be felt as much as seen. I want the texture to guide your eye and mirror the sensory experience of being outdoors.”

Through dynamic strokes and intentional texture, she translates her connection to wild places into paintings that speak to a love of adventure, stillness, and the shifting light of the natural world.
