The Artist
Alexandria is a self-taught artist from Alberta, Canada, specializing in bold, textured palette knife paintings of mountain landscapes. Her work blurs the line between real and imagined, inviting viewers into scenes that feel both immersive and emotionally alive.
Inspired by a lifelong love of nature and a background in interior design, she discovered painting in 2020 - and with it, the intuitive flow of working in impasto. Using heavy-body acrylics and a palette knife, Alexandria builds sculptural layers of paint that create rhythm, depth, and movement across each piece.
“The landscapes I paint are meant to be felt as much as seen. I want the texture to guide your eye and mirror the sensory experience of being outdoors.”
Through dynamic strokes and intentional texture, she translates her connection to wild places into paintings that speak to a love of adventure, stillness, and the shifting light of the mountains.

”When Worlds Collide”
By Alexandria Mackie & Kayla Sommer
After meeting at an Art Walk a few years back, Alexandria and Kayla had always long admired eachothers work. A true meeting of minds and mediums, When Worlds Collide is a striking collaboration that blends the distinct styles, emotions, and energies of two artists into one cohesive, evocative piece.
