What a special and amazing experience to have an Alexandria Mackie commissioned original! We’ve been following Alex’s art for a while, watching her evolve and also establish into her key style. We knew we wanted a piece of her artwork for our new home, but we wanted to wait for a special and unique enough moment for her to capture. We got engaged in Peru, at the Sun Gate of Ollantaytambo, and knew this was it! A 12,795 feet high Incan site with views of the Sacred Valley and snowy Veronica mountain. She captured it so so beautifully!

We couldn’t be happier with the painting, however the whole “commissioned art” process exceeded our expectations with Alex. There was a ton of communication, from talking though canvas sizes, checking out the best walls for the piece, providing a mood board, live updates, consulting us for feedback along the way, and personally delivering the finished painting.
